Renos Haralambidis was born in Athens in 1970.
He is a self-taught actor and screenwriter who has studied theater in independent workshops.
He has starred in television, theater, and cinema writing and directing five films. He is also a radio producer and regularly writes articles for newspapers, magazines, and online.
He first appeared as a director in 1997 with the film “No Budget Story”, a black-and-white romantic film that launched a whole school of his philosophy of cinema.
In 2000, he released the film “Cheap Smokes”, which was made in such a way that it resembled a “jazz improvisation” and marked the late 90s generation.
It was awarded both at the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Istanbul Film Festival (FIPRESCI Award).
