If there is one thing we love as the TEDxAUTH team, it’s supporting our people! That’s why, on Sunday 21 January, members of our team, attended the opening of the new offices of the InfinityGreece, one of the most well-known organizations in Thessaloniki.
The organization, which is celebrating 10 years of active presence and action this year, constitutes one of the largest in the city, with over 710 volunteers. At its new facilities, volunteers can meet up, collaborate, and develop their technical knowledge and professional skills which are very useful for the job market.
This is precisely its broader goal: to empower us so that, informed and fully trained, we can participate actively in matters that concern us and express our opinions and fight for our rights in a thoughtful and knowledgeable manner.
InfinityGreece is a community of young people for young people. For this reason, it has created a safe environment for us to grow, to talk with people who share our fears and concerns and to gain knowledge and new skills.
Festivals, children’s activities, and some of the best parties in the city (“Connected we stand”, “TsimpaSmile”, “Kids InfinityGreece” etc) are only a few of the activities that are organized and that we look forward to participating in! Above all, though, InfinityGreece is close to the pulse of young people and university students with exclusive content on their blog, web radio and web TV, considering their needs.
So, in this spirit, at the opening of their new facility in Valaoritou street we had the opportunity to learn how they operate, to familiarize ourselves with their activities and network with their volunteers. At the same time, though, we had the chance, in a friendly atmosphere, to support a local volunteer community, highlighting the importance of mutual support and strengthening young people’s initiatives.
So, their new facilities are officially here, and they are waiting for you to come and meet them, and don’t forget that their volunteer applications are open!
TEDxAUTH supports everything that makes us stand stronger and united! InfinityGreece is fully embraces this philosophy. We would like to wish them good luck in this new beginning, and we are certain that they will give our city and its people something special!
