Workshop 2: Alex Lucky Origami

Alex Lucky Origami – From Paper to Fulfillment:
Experience the power of creativity through the Japanese art of origami.

Origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – transforms a simple, flat sheet into impressive three-dimensional sculptures, combining creativity with geometry, mathematics and technical precision.

Alexandra Papailia, a civil engineer with an MSc in Seismic Engineering, began practicing origami in 2020 during the second COVID-19 lockdown. With a deep love for Japanese culture and participation in festivals and workshops, she creates unique works – from sculptures and jewelry to lighting fixtures – using handcrafted Japanese papers.

In her workshop, we will get to know this special art through the experience of creation, which many compare to a form of meditation.
