Scrolling through our social media, we came across something that caught our attention. Paintings, colours, images, shapes, lines. We were left looking and soaking up as much as we could, while being mesmerised by this art form unfolding before our very eyes. We couldn’t help but seek them out, communicate with them, ask them to share their source of inspiration. So we did, and perspective. told us all about it!
1. As a business you have a unique philosophy: you choose to offer a new perspective to widely known works of art through an editing process. How was this idea born? What turned you in this direction?
Elena: Initially, this idea came from our own need and desire to decorate our personal space. Searching through the internet for ideas on how to create something different, you come across other people’s ideas and then the more you search, the more new ideas come up. This is not something unique, it is something that tends to happen. What we are trying to promote is the combination; of our aesthetic and a more personal touch. And something fundamental that we opt for is mostly the print of the product and the poster we have in front of us, the one we meet on perspective. What we care about is the printing process, when you finally hang it on the wall and its singularity compared to anything else you could find until now, used as decor.
Christina: Indeed, we invest a lot in quality- not only in printing, but also in colors, the quality of the paper, and the canvas. We have several display options too, like Elena said. We have found handmade pieces and the right materials, which is very important for us.
E: We should also say that the prints we showcase are pieces we have already encountered somewhere. What you could have bought until now was simply a digital file. We figured that there is a space in the market that we could fill in, and provide a final product-whether in the form of a frame or something ready to be hung. On the contrary, having a digital file will most likely remain in your computer, until it is finally hung on the wall.

2. Which do you think is the element that attracts the audience the most toward pieces that they are already familiar with, just in a slightly different form, instead of going for something entirely new?
C: I think it is the beauty of the classic. Something that is of classic beauty with a twist always intrigues us more. Anything related to art and fashion is an alteration of something already existing anyway.
E: Definitely, when you see something familiar you tend to want it (more easily)- consciously or unconsciously? How you promote it also plays a very important role. How you display it, who possesses it, where you will see it, how on trend what we see, actually is. And for better or worse, what is also very important is that you can magnify the analysis of the work of a famous artist, in a way that the quality is maintained and all of that for a good price.
C: Aside from the classics, we offer new products as well, created from scratch. For instance, our notebooks are our original designs.
4. The aesthetic of perspective. is well-known, very characteristic, and loved by the audience. If you could describe it in a few words, what would those words be?
C: Honestly, I don’t know. It is very clearly our aesthetic. What you see on perspective., whether that be the prints or its showcasing, is who we like to be.
E: I totally agree!
5. We know each color is connected to a different emotion. What does the process of creating make you feel and what colors would you use to describe it?
C: I feel like for some reason everything we do on perspective. ends up being pink. A pink with a touch of intensity. Our stickers are pink, the largest illustrations are pink, our notebooks have some pink features. I don’t know how we ended up having so much pink.
E: I would probably say something in more pastel tones, calmness in pastel shades.
6. Your pieces have decorated various spaces, from homes to stores and galleries. What would you say is your ultimate goal? What location would you want to see your art displayed?
E: I think our personal space. Our goal is to create our own space, so that production can take place there and the people can come and go, look at the pieces, and choose the one they prefer- because it is something entirely different for all of this to take place live, as you can help someone find what they are looking for. So far, for all our projects a client approached us, we were not the ones choosing to place our pieces in a specific space.
Â
7. What kind of process do you go through when creating your pieces?
E: First and foremost we keep up to date with everything on the market, we are searching, looking at what is already out on the market and what we like, and then we choose-always according to potential copyrights-which pieces of famous artists we can use. We take elements of the paintings that express us, we make changes with the coloring -according to our tastes or what we want to have coordinated with other prints- and a gallery wall is formed. That is something you build one step at a time, starting from the bottom and constantly covering and creating the rest. And then printing and producing begins.

8. At the workshop you have prepared for the pre-event of TEDXAUTH the participants will be called to create their own piece through the method of collage. What would you like for them to gain through this process?
C: The freedom of creation, trying without being artists or without having any affinity to art, to create something from scratch, return to their childhood, find themselves, and work together as a team.
9. What made you say yes to a partnership with TEDXAUTH for the pre-event SPARKS?
C: It was a very nice approach on your part, you gave us immense freedom and we heard some great proposals!
E: I don’t think there was any way for us to decline. It was an honor to see that there is correspondence to what we do. We are ”’newbies” in this field and the fact that people we consider as the target audience of perspective. respond to our work makes us feel extremely grateful. We would have never declined such an offer or not tried to help in our own way!
The conversation with Elena and Christina could have gone on for hours if time had not been limited. It is so beautiful to see people being inspired. Creating. Letting the “spark” within them to forge new paths in their lives!
perspective. inspired us in a very unique way! We in turn look forward to what we are about to see from it at our pre-event!
